Profhilo® Hydrating & Skin Tightening Treatments at CJA Aesthetics
Clinics in Southampton and across Hampshire

Rejuvenate and hydrate your skin with a Profhilo® skin remodelling treatment at CJA Aesthetics Clinics in Southampton and across Hampshire.

Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, designed to stimulate the activity of the skin's cells. Unlike some other anti-aging treatments such as dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle injections, it does not restrict muscle movement or fill lines and wrinkles by adding volume to the skin.  Instead it uses patented technologies to work on the condition of the skin.  It nourishes it from within, restoring hydration and skin firmness and promoting the skin’s own collagen and elastin production for outstanding anti-aging results.

A Profhilo® treatment provides one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid on the market.  This not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue, tightening the skin. The result is a healthy, looking, dewy glow that can make your face look visibly younger after just two treatments.

Find out why there’s such a buzz in the beauty world about this innovative anti-ageing treatment.  Book a consultation at and book an appointment with our fully trained aesthetics doctors CJA Aesthetics Clinics on 023 8033 2429 or email info@cja-aesthetics.co.uk.

How does Profhilo work?

During a Profhilo treatment, ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated.  Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin, which is important for hydration, but as we get older, our bodies produce less of it.  Profhilo uses a stabilised hyaluronic acid gel which stimulates the skin's natural production of collagen and elastin, attracting water into the deeper layers of the skin, thus resulting in significant improvements to the surrounding tissues in terms of tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance.

How long will the results of Profhilo last?

By using a stabilised hyaluronic acid gel, the results of a Profhilo treatment last far longer than other comparable anti-aging procedures  It restores hydration and stimulates your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin for 6 to 8 months after the initial treatments, prolonging your more youthful glow.

What is the aftercare advice for Profhilo?

«

You can normally resume usual activities immediately although you should avoid the following:

  • swimming - avoid for 48 hours
  • massaging the area - avoid for 24 hours
  • extreme temperatures - avoid for 7 days

Full aftercare advice will be given at your consultation

Are there any side effects to a Profhilo treatment?

«

The skin usually recovers within a few hours of treatment.  Initially, for about 3 to 4 hours after the procedure, you may notice small bumps where you’ve been injected and the hyaluronic acid has not yet fully dispersed into your skin. You may also experience some redness, bruising or tenderness at the injection site, as is the case for all injectable treatments. This will usually clear within 24 hours.

Is a Profhilo treatment painful?

«

Most patients do not to report any major discomfort during the procedure. Prior to your treatment we can apply some numbing cream to the treatment area if you wish.
The needle used is very fine, but you may experience a pin prick and slight stinging sensation as the Profhilo gel enters the skin.

Is Profhilo better than Botox?

«

Other than the fact that they are both administered by injection, Profhilo and Botox are completely different treatments and cannot be compared.

Anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox work on the muscles with the skin to relax them and thus reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles around the injection area.

By contrast, Profhilo uses hyaluronic acid injected into the skin to condition it from within.  It gathers moisture from within the body into the skin and stimulates the skin's natural production of collagen and elastin for skin that is firmer, hydrated and glowing!

Is Profhilo suitable for everyone?

«

The treatment is suitable for men and women of all ages.

Anyone who is looking to improve the tone and appearance of tired, dull, sagging or ageing skin will benefit from a treatment.
