Thread Lifts - Before & After Images
Look Younger with a Non-Surgical Facelift at Leading Aesthetics Clinics in Hampshire - Silhouette Soft Thread Lifts & Elionce PDO Thread Lifts
PDO thread lifts are a tried and tested cosmetic treatment designed to restore the shape of your face and neck, by improving sagging skin and jowls.
Dr Chris will recommend the best thread lift treatment for you, expertly positioning special absorbable surgical threads into the area or areas to be treated. The threads are then tightened to pull the skin up, and slight pressure is applied to gently reshape the contours of your face. Tiny cones or barbs on the thread also stimulate collagen production to give you continuing improvement over time.
How Soon Will I See The Results?
The results are instant and last between 12 and 18 months. Clients look fresher and more youthful, with more defined facial contours.
Who Is A Suitable Candidate For A Thread Lift Treatment?
A non-surgical facelift with PDO threads is most effective in patients aged between 35 and 65, but can also be beneficial for older clients depending on an assessment of their skin condition.
What Can Thread Lifts Be Used To Treat?
A PDO thread facelift can be used to improve the appearance of:
- eyebrows that sag or are asymmetrical
- laughter lines around the nose and mouth
- sagging cheeks
- the mid and lower face (the jowls or a sagging jawline)
- the neck & decolletage.

Thread Lift FAQs
Your skin will be marked and numbed so the first needle can be inserted and the suture pulled under the skin. A second needle is threaded through the same hole but in the opposite direction. Once in the correct position, we will gently tighten the sutures to lift the skin and tissue so it no longer sags. There will be an entry and exit point for the needles.
Silhouette Soft® has been developed after 6 years of research in permanent suspension sutures with cones used in plastic and reconstructive surgery. With more than 150 000 treatments carried out so far, Silhouette Soft has proven it’s safety and efficacy all over the world.
The main component of Silhouette Soft® – Poly L- lactic acid (or PLLA) – has been used for many years in various pharmaceutical and medical applications such as suture thread, orthopedic pins, screws and nails for bone fractures.
Elionce™ is a premium thread lift treatment which uses Polydioxanone to create a natural, fresher and younger looking face. Polydioxanone is a biodegradable thread which has been used for the past 30 years in surgical sutures.
Also known as a PDO Thread Lift, this procedure not only tightens the skin but also stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.
The term PDO is used as a shorthand for Polydioxanone which is the biodegradable thread that is used for the thread lift. These biodegradable threads have been used for the past 30 years in surgical sutures.
The recovery period can be anywhere between a few days and two weeks. Some clients also experience minor pain, swelling and bruising. This usually resolves within a few days. This is effectively a non-surgical facelift with minimal downtime.
A typical face lift treatment takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
The biggest risk is infection at the point of entry and exit. However, your physician will take every precaution to avoid infection and these treatments are carried out to the highest levels of hygiene. We will carefully explain the after care process and will be on hand should you have any concerns.
There will be no scarring and the needle entry point is hidden in the hairline.
Most clients take a couple of days off work after their thread lift. Keep the injection sites dry, avoid rubbing your face and try to minimise your facial expressions for 24 hours. We also recommend you sleep on your back for about three weeks after the procedure. You may also experience some bunching of skin which is normal and will even out within a couple of weeks.
After about eight weeks the threads are safely dissolved by the body.
