Dermalux LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses natural light to rejuvenate and refine skin for long-lasting results.

A Lemon Bottle Fat Dissolving treatment usually takes around 30 minutes.  There is no downtime required afterwards.

Lemon Bottle contains an innovative blend of natural ingredients designed to break down stubborn fatty deposits and release them through the body's lymphatic system.  The ingredients include:

Bromelain - A digestive enzyme with anti-obesity properties, it reduces inflammation and triggers the breakdown of fat cells.  It is derived from pineapples.

Riboflavin - Also known as Vitamin B2, Riboflavin promotes fat metabolism.  It also reduces swelling following the treatment.

Lecithin - Breaks down the walls of fat cells and helps flush them from the body via the lymphatic system.  The Lecithin in Lemon Bottle is from non-allergenic vegetable sources.

Lemon Bottle Injections can be used to target stubborn fat deposits in most areas of the body, including the:

  • stomach
  • hips
  • thighs
  • arms
  • chest
  • face
  • jaw line.

You should be able to see results within a day of your initial Lemon Bottle injections, but most patients require a course of  several treatments for optimal results.   It will typically take a few weeks to see the full results of the treatment, as the body continues to eliminate fat cells following the injections.

NEWEST Polynucleotides-HPT TM harnesses the power of DNA fragments to regenerate your skin from within, combined with the hydrating power of hyaluronic acid.  It's is a specially-formulated gel that is injected into your face, neck, and décolletage to restore radiance and freshness in mature and dehydrated skin.

NEWEST is especially suitable for mature skin.  We offer a wide range of polynucleotide treatments to address a variety of skin concerns.

Polynucleotides are DNA fragments derived from natural sources, carefully formulated to stimulate collagen production, boost cellular repair, and promote skin regeneration. These powerful molecules penetrate deep into your skin, jump-starting the rejuvenation process and restoring your complexion's vitality from within.

Polynucleotides are naturally occurring molecules that play a role in cellular repair and regeneration.  The treatments offered at CJA are produced by Italian pharmaceutical company Mastelli and are based on the very latest developments in skin care science.

The treatments use filtered, ultra-purified and sterilised DNA fragments and are the result of decades of scientific research and medical developments.  Rigorous testing has revealed no adverse or allergic reactions.   Polynucleotide skin boosters are the gold standard in skin regeneration treatments.

You may experience some slight bruising and swelling (as with any injectable treatment) but this will usually dissipate within a few hours.

We will give you full details of aftercare requirements and what to expect at your initial consultation.  There is no downtime following treatment, but you will need to avoid touching or washing your face for up to 4 hours and avoid make up for 12 hours.

The DNA used comes from salmon (who are not harmed in the process).   Human DNA is surprisingly similar to salmon DNA, which allows scientists to use small fractions of it to produce these highly effective treatments.  Rest assured that the DNA fractions are subject to a highly specialised filtration, sterilisation and purification process before they are used in the production serums.    Comprehensive clinical trials have revealed no adverse or allergic reactions to the treatment, including amongst fish allergy sufferers.

You should start to see improvements in your skin texture about a week to 10 days after treatment.  The full results will be visible in around 3-4 weeks.

At this point we recommend a follow-up treatment.  For best results in the long term we recommend a course of at least 3 treatments, approximately 3 weeks apart.

Laser mole removal uses intense bursts of light energy to break down the pigment within the mole.   The light energy is precisely targeted on the mole, resulting in minimal impact on the surrounding tissue and allowing healing to take place with little or no scarring.

Laser skin tag removal uses short blasts of peak power to cause ablation of the epidermis and top most layers of skin to effectively vaporise and remove the skin tag.  A numbing cream is applied before the treatment, which is quick and painless.

Lasers can be used on most parts of the body.  The SmartXide Touch laser technology used at CJA Aesthetics is ideal for treating delicate ares such as the face, neck and décolleté.   Lasers are particularly suited for use on the face and eyes as they result in less scarring than other mole and lesion removal methods (NB if you have any doubts about changes in your moles, check with your GP.  Laser mole removal is only suitable for small, benign moles.)

Treatments generally take approximately 20 minutes but this will depend on the size and number of moles or skin tags to be treated.   We will advise you on what to expect at your initial consultation.

We use Botox® which is a highly diluted form of the neurotoxin protein botulinum. A minuscule amount will be expertly injected into selected muscles to temporarily relax those muscles.

Botox is commonly used to inject the horizontal lines on the forehead, the frown lines between the eyebrows, and lines around the eyes.  It can also be administered to soften lines around the mouth, to raise the corners of the eyebrows, to elevate the corners of a downturned mouth, to improve the shape of the jawline and to soften the neck.

You may also have heard of the Nefertiti Facelift which enables us to improve the appearance of sagging jowls and a saggy or crepey neck using Botox injectables.

Botox is also an effective treatment for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and can help people who suffer from headaches and migraines.

Most people have one treatment and return for a further treatment once it wears off between three and six months.

Discomfort is kept to a minimum and we can apply a topical anaesthetic cream before treatment, if required.

Most people see the full effect around 3-10 days after the first treatment.

The effect of anti wrinkle injections usually lasts for between three and six months, after which your muscles will regain their strength. You can, of course, return for regular treatments.

Botulinum toxin type A was introduced in clinical practice in the 1970s and 1980s to treat squints and blepharospasm.  After formal trials, on April 12 2002, the FDA announced regulatory approval of botulinum toxin type A to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines).

The cost of Botox injections depends on how many areas we are treating.  Please book in for an in-depth consultation so we can discuss your requirements and assess your suitability for treatment.  We will be able to give you a price for the treatment during your consultation.  This is a friendly, no-obligation consultation and no pressure will be applied.

Your experienced and qualified aesthetics specialist will carry out a detailed consultation to work out whether you are suitable for this treatment.

A small percentage of people may notice a slight droopiness of the eyelid or eyebrow but this should be back to normal within 2 weeks. Patients who are taking aspirin or NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) may experience slight bruising.

Most people see the full effect within two weeks after the first treatment.

The effect usually lasts for between three and six months, after which your muscles will regain their strength. You can, of course, return for regular treatments.

Having injectables, such as dermal fillers, does not rule you out of EMFACE treatments.  Book a consultation with our Southampton aesthetics doctors and we will come up with the right treatment plan for you.

You don't need to have deep lines and wrinkles to benefit from EMFACE.  The procedure treats the deep layers of facial skin and muscles so it can be used to prevent wrinkles from developing.

No, the treatment is not painful.  Some patients even report it feeling warm and soothing.  It does feel unusual and different to any other treatment  you may have had as it causes involuntary contractions of your facial muscles.  Patients report they soon get used to this however, and there is no downtime or bruising after treatment.  Your face may be slightly red immediately after the pads are removed, but this clears within minutes.  Results are visible immediately.

Results will be visible immediately after your first treatment and these will continue to improve as  you go through your treatment course.  EMFACE stimulates the body's production of elastin and collagen in the face, so the natural lifting and smoothing effect from this will continue for weeks after the treatment course is complete.

All dermal fillers gradually biodegrade.  The length of time they last depends very much on the individual, how your body reacts and which dermal filler is used.  As a guide, lip fillers usually last between 4-6 months.  Dermal fillers in the cheeks and other facial areas may between six to 18 months.

You will experience minor discomfort during the injection of dermal fillers. Topical anaesthetics will be applied to the skin before the procedure to minimise any pain.  Our dermal fillers also contain a pre-mixed local anaesthetic.

Yes.  If you have extremely thin lips we may suggest building up your lips gradually with a few lip filler treatments over time.

You may experience some tenderness, redness and swelling to the lips post lip augmentation. Some people may experience pain, itching and bruising.  These reactions are generally mild and usually subside within a few days.

There is always a slight risk with any cosmetic procedure, but when administered by fully trained professionals the risk is minimised.  The fully qualified doctors who run CJA Aesthetics are highly experienced in the field of aesthetic medicine as well as being practicing doctors in their own right, so you can be sure you are in the safest possible hands at our clinics in Southampton, Winchester and Portsmouth.

Botox stops the small muscles in your face from making the movements that cause wrinkles. Dermal fillers plump from below the wrinkle to make your skin smoother.

Profhilo can be used to treat not only the face and neck but other areas of the body which are prone to crepey skin.

Profhilo can be used on:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Decolletage
  • Hands
  • Arms
  • Knees
  • Abdomen
  • Any other areas with loose skin.

The treatment is suitable for men and women of all ages.

Anyone who is looking to improve the tone and appearance of tired, dull, sagging or ageing skin will benefit from a treatment.

Other than the fact that they are both administered by injection, Profhilo and Botox are completely different treatments and cannot be compared.

Anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox work on the muscles with the skin to relax them and thus reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles around the injection area.

By contrast, Profhilo uses hyaluronic acid injected into the skin to condition it from within.  It gathers moisture from within the body into the skin and stimulates the skin's natural production of collagen and elastin for skin that is firmer, hydrated and glowing!

Most patients do not to report any major discomfort during the procedure. Prior to your treatment we can apply some numbing cream to the treatment area if you wish.
The needle used is very fine, but you may experience a pin prick and slight stinging sensation as the Profhilo gel enters the skin.

The skin usually recovers within a few hours of treatment.  Initially, for about 3 to 4 hours after the procedure, you may notice small bumps where you’ve been injected and the hyaluronic acid has not yet fully dispersed into your skin.

You may also experience some redness, bruising or tenderness at the injection site, as is the case for all injectable treatments. This will usually clear within 24 hours.

You can normally resume usual activities immediately although you should avoid the following:

  • swimming - avoid for 48 hours
  • massaging the area - avoid for 24 hours
  • extreme temperatures - avoid for 7 days

Full aftercare advice will be given at your consultation

In addition facial treatments, Endolift provides skin tightening and fat reduction results for the body and legs, including

  • Love handles - the sides of the abdomen
  • Bingo Wings - under the arms
  • Inner thighs
  • Outer thighs
  • Knees
  • Ankles
  • Buttocks

Minimal recovery time is usually required after treatment.  You may experience some swelling and bruising, but you should be able to return to work and normal activity within a few hours.

At your initial consultation we will carry out a full assessment of your medical history and advise you further on what to expect.

There are no known contraindications for Endolift, but we would not recommend the procedure if you are pregnant.   Endolift is an effective treatment for mild to moderate skin laxity on the face and body for all skin types.

Our doctors will carry out a full consultation prior to the treatment itself to ensure you know what to expect and are a suitable candidate.

Most patients require only one session to see visible results.  At your initial consultation, however, we will carry out a full assessment of your skin concerns and come up with a treatment programme which is most suitable for your needs.  This may include additional Endolift treatments, or other services we provide at our Southampton clinic.  We may also recommend skin care products from our Skinceuticals range to ensure you obtain optimum results.

Endolift® is a minimally invasive treatment and no anaesthesia is usually required.  Most patients report little or no pain during the treatment, but if needed for your comfort, we may apply a small local anaesthetic.  We will discuss this with you at your initial consultation.

Book a consultation and we will provide a quote for your treatment, which will depend on the area to be treated.

Most patients see visible results immediately, which improve further over the following months as collagen develops in the deep layers of the skin after the treatment.

Most patients have few if any side effects from treatment.  Potential side effects which can occur include swelling and uneven skin which can last for up to two to three week following treatment, some minor bruising and some minor redness and sensitivity in the area which can generally be controlled using over the counter pain medication.

Light Therapy, also known as phototherapy occurs naturally all around us and is based on the principle that our cells absorb light and use it fuel natural rejuvenation and repair processes.
By using different types of light and wavelengths, light therapy can aid your skin in repairing and boosting collagen production.

We know that on-going exposure to UV light is very damaging but controlled levels of Red, Blue and Near Infrared light are clinically proven to be beneficial.

Utilising the latest generation LED technology, Dermalux® ensures a safe and targeted delivery of light at the optimum intensity for maximum skin enhancing results.

Dermalux® is heat free, chemical free and does not harm the skin. It has an excellent safety profile and is beneficial for all skin types without downtime.

Phototherapy is another name for LED Light Therapy.  Absorption of light occurs naturally on a day-to-day basis and the skin uses it to fuel natural rejuvenation and repair processes.

Phototherapy is based on this natural processes.  It uses different wave lengths of light to stimulate different effects in the skin.  We know that on-going exposure to UV light is very damaging but controlled levels of Red, Blue and Near Infrared light are clinically proven to be beneficial to the skin.

Yes, blue light has an anti-bacterial action, making it a very effective treatment for acne.   Light at this wavelength can treat spots without causing any further irritation, improve skin clarity and calm the skin, reducing redness.

While there's no cure of psoriasis, red light therapy has been clinically proven to help to ease the symptoms, reducing itchiness, flaking and swelling.

Yes, the red light therapy has been proven to treat symptoms of aging including fine lines and wrinkles, skin discolouration and age spots.

Red light stimulates skin cells known as fibroblasts.  These help to make collagen, which is part of the skin's natural recovery process and promotes and smoother complexion.  l

We recommend using the therapy as part of your overall skin care regime, and we can recommend the correct products to complement your light therapy treatment.
